ACTIVE-SARC AYA and Child Targeted Interventions to improve Vitality through Exercise in SARComa patients
Research in other cancers, such as breast and prostate cancer, has shown that exercise can significantly reduce treatment-related side effects, improve physical fitness, and enhance mental well-being. However, very little is known about how exercise impacts newly diagnosed pediatric and AYA sarcoma patients sarcoma patients, particularly those with lower-extremity tumors who often face significant physical challenges after surgery. By combining exercise science with innovative cancer care, this project has the potential to significantly improve survival rates and quality of life for young sarcoma patients.
